141st Anniversary Reunion

Tucson AZ, July 28, 2007

Mary Pearl Allen of Lawton OK., will attend the University of Central Oklahoma where she will major in Business Law and minor in Family-owned business. This young lady is an athlete, community leader and is a working her way thru school while maintaining a grade point average of 3.8. Ms. Allen was recommended by Annie Jones Gray.

Alyssia Cunningham of Greensboro NC was a former recipient in 2006 and reapplied in 2007. Ms. Cunningham attends NC Agricultural & Technical State University and is studding Computer Science. Ms Cunningham is Hewlett-Packard Scholar, in the Honors Program, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Society and has maintained a 3.78 grade point average. Ms. Cunningham was recommended by Linda Beatty-Cole.

Bethany Jean of Junction City Kansas will attend Southern Nazarene University, where she will study Graphics Design. Ms Jean maintained a 3.68 grade point average in the Honors, Advance Placement Division and Math classes while participating in school athletics, student government, and her local church. Ms. Jean was also employed by her school and had designs of her own implemented as improvements to her school campus. Ms. Jean was recommended by Consuelo Curley.

Chanelle Johnson of Washington DC will attend the University of North Carolina-Charlotte where she will major in Pre-Kinesiology and minor in Spanish. This young lady has an impressive resume including multiple talents and skills, is employed while attending school participates in athletics, is a community leader, and volunteers locally and abroad. Ms. Johnson maintained a 2.56 grade point average. This young lady was recommended by Edwin Sherrod.
